Sunday Concours d’Elegance Entrants Exceed 150 Rare Cars!
Over 120 cars have been officially accepted into the 2016 Atlanta Concours d’Elegance competition that takes place on Sunday, October 9 at Chateau Elan Winery and Resort. By show time in October, more than 150 cars will be placed on the 18th fairway of the Chateau Elan Golf Course.
These rare and splendid automobiles were manufactured between 1899 and 1970. They range in age from 46 to 117 years of age. The cars range in value from $25,000 to
$1 million. Although difficult to estimate, some experts suggest the value of cars on the show field that day will exceed $20 million. Entrants have come from all over the country, the farthest from Illinois and many from right here in Georgia.
The automobiles will be arranged by class on the Sunday show field. Included are iconic manufacturers such as Packard, Auburn, Duesenberg, Chrysler, Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes, Rolls Royce, and Bentley. Other classes include British cars, imported sports cars, unrestored barn finds, competition cars from Road Atlanta, and Georgia manufactured Panoz cars.
This display, amidst the beautifully manicured fairways, will dazzle the senses and delight spectators from the novice car enthusiast to the learned car collector. Purchase your tickets on our website now atwww.atlantaconcours.org .
