A Deep Respect for the Heritage of the Motor-Car

On boarding great new sponsors, attending the Amelia, continuing to enhance our affiliations with two terrific non-profit organizations, details for the Trunk Show and the Honoree Gala.  We continue to make great progress engaging both the classic car and the Atlanta metropolitan community in their support for the inaugural 2016 Atlanta Concours d’Elegance.  Every day new and exciting relationships occur, some beyond our wildest imaginations!  Our roster of entrant automobiles grows daily.  We are amazed by the collectors and their museum quality cars located in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast.  Collectors from across the nation have expressed their excitement about the October event.

Our road trip to the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance March 12 and 13 was terrific. The show was excellent.  Each time we think we’ve seen it all, we go back to Amelia and realize there is more still to come.

There is certainly one common thread to an event like this that continues to impress us year after year. Its not the cars, the field or even the celebrities.  Its the car people: the individual owners, Saturday drivers, collection managers, and restoration folks who make all this beautiful machinery come to life.  It is hard for someone outside the car business/hobby to realize that most owners of these fantastic works of art dont consider themselves ownersbut rather custodians.  It is these people who really make the show interesting and compelling.  Whether talking with an MG guy on Saturday about his MGB or talking with Bob Jepson about his 1927 Isotta Frachini Tipo 8AS on the Sunday show field, there is one tremendous unifying theme which is a deep respect for the heritage of the motor-car.  On the show field, its contagious. Ask a reasonable question of a car keeper and watch the passion pour out. We are really blessed to be working with these folks and bringing an event of this caliber to Chateau Elan Winery and Resort in October.

What do you do when your dream becomes a reality?  You absolutely enjoy the ride!

The Atlanta Concours d’Elegance Non-Profit Partners

In our quest to fulfill our goal of giving back to the Atlanta Community, we found hundreds of worthy non-profit organizations.  One stood out because of their mission to provide assistance to all non-profits in the Atlanta metropolitan area.  The 2016 Atlanta Concours d’Elegance is proud to partner with the Atlanta Community ToolBank. This organization provides thousands of volunteers with tools for their service projects and events.  They will be providing all non-alcoholic beverages and snacks on the Atlanta Concours d’Elegance show field over the two day event.

The 2016 Atlanta Concours d’Elegance Gala on Saturday evening, October 8, will benefit the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.  This non-profit serves individuals and families touched by this devastating disease.  They provide research, education, support, and assistance throughout the state.

A link to these organizations can be found on the Charity page of our website.
